Opening your Eyes to #Inspiration
Our 1700 Nova Scotian Special Athletes train hard. Learn new skills. Excel and celebrate with unvarnished joy.
On February 1st, the spotlight will shine at the Cunard Center and the Athletes, their Families, Coaches, Officials. Fans will cheer and contribute to the next set of athletic hurdles. Our fundraising goal of $75,000 will deliver new programs and sports that the dedicated community of hundreds of volunteers and 340 coaches focus on all year long.
Our inspiration goes far beyond Olympic sport
Health and wellness is an assumption for most athletes but long before those moments of competitive sport begin, our Nova Scotian communities are delivering health and wellness programs to Athletes. Our Healthy Athlete physical screenings ensure accessibility to all our athletes and proactive screening of potential problems. One of many examples is the generosity of the Dalhousie Ophthalmology Department at the Faculty of Medicine who offered eye examinations during the provincial 2015 summer games in Halifax.
